Thank You

I just wanted to thank everybody for their tremendous support throughout this entire process. I know it’s pretty early in the game, but you guys get me out of bed every day and make me push harder.

Last night I got shit for sleep, kept tossing and turning, hot and cold, I’m not sure how many hours I actually got. My alarm went off and it felt like I never slept, I was so close to hitting the snooze button, and sleeping in another day and skipping the gym. I picked up my phone to turn the alarm off, and my phone was filled with ‘Word Press’ notifications, blog likes, and new followers. It motivated me to go kill chest, shoulders, and triceps at the gym, and damn was it a good workout!

I know I don’t have a ton of followers on my blog, but the ones I do have been extremely supportive, cheering me on, wishing me good luck, and filling me up with such positive thoughts everyday. It’s incredible, thank you.

I ALSO woke up to this motivating Facebook message this morning:

“Hi Jessica, I see that u are looking to compete in Bikini at the Emerald Cup and may be looking for posing classes. I am currently accepting new member for my Save Fitness team so if u are looking for a team to join, let me know. We start our classes in Dec.”

The Founder of ‘Save Fitness‘ (IFBB Pro: Tanji Johnson) reached out to me with that message sometime last night after I had gone to bed, I was definitely flattered this morning and darted out of bed into my gym clothes! Guzzled that protein shake and was out the door!

When I got home from the gym I responded with the following questions since I’m new at this:

“Thank you for reaching out to me! My next step was actually to look into teams. I’m new at this! I have a couple questions if you don’t mind:

-What does joining a team entail, and what are the benefits?
-What fees would apply? 
-How often are meetings/training, and where do they usually take place?
(I have an odd schedule at work: 11am – 7:30pm, and take the bus)

-Is ‘Save Fitness’ sponsored?

My spirits have been lifted today! Much better day than yesterday, I have to remind myself this is why I get up at 4:00am every day. To feel good, to let go of all my built up tension in the weight room, to motivate and inspire.
