Motivational Monday


Killed my workout after a 10 hour shift! So glad I decided NOT to skip out. I smashed out a pretty killer leg workout. The squat rack shall be my new best friend this summer 🙂

I’m super motivated to stay fit for summer, especially after recounting exactly what I ate last week. I know I went on a big shpeel about being so much happier NOT counting my macros or tracking my food, BUT there IS a limit and I definitely surpassed it last week! Let’s just say I enjoyed a dozen Red Velvet Oreo Cream Cheese Stuffed Cupcakes, White Chocolate Chip Cookies the size of my FACE after lunch every day, a gallon of Cake Batter Explosion Ice Cream with the hubby, S’mores, Cake Batter M&M’s, and a block of Gouda cheese…. pretty much to myself. OOooopsies! I’m not regretting it, it was mighty delicious, but I am definitely FEELING the consequences. Not the best fuel for this piece of machinery to run off of!

photo-2I’m cutting back on sugar and incorporating more fiber and veggies into my diet. I’m drinking 1.5 gallons of water a day and working out at least 5 times this week. Saturday Derek and I are going for a hike, so freakin’ stoked!

I’ve been keeping myself busy with summer excitements, planning parties with co-workers, and preparing for my friend’s Bachelorette Party in July. I made the invites this weekend and they are so freakin’ CUTE! I’m usually not the crafty type, but I’m pretty proud of myself.

I’ve been reading up on my Oxygen Magazine with my favorite bikini gal on the cover. Tryna get a booty like Ashley K! Keeping myself up to date with new recipe ideas and ways to spice up my workouts. I’ve been working legs hard, but I need to stretch more often because my hips are extremely tight.

Derek helped me fill out my Financial Aid form for school tonight! It’s ready to send to Bellevue College. Now I need to take the COMPASS Placement test, then register for classes. So nervous, but ready to take on the next challenge! I need to feel like I’m doing something with my life. Waking up to go to my 8 hour desk job every day, workout, then come home to eat and watch TV isn’t cutting it. I need some excitement, I need to learn.

I don’t know if I mentioned this in a previous post, but Derek and I will be living here for another year at least! Our lease would have ended October this year, but we are staying at least until next October, maybe longer. We’re also locking in our same rent price! Such a huge relief, moving every year is so stressful. We have never lived in one place for more than a year, this will be good for us.

Anyways, I better get some shut eye, tomorrow is a 12 hour work day! 6am to 6pm. I will definitely NOT be working out tomorrow! Perhaps walking the dog and stretching, but that’s it!
