Rest Day!

Whewww, took a rest day today. Been at the gym for about 2 weeks straight, no days off. I figured this early in the game my muscles would need time to re-cooperate. Shit is gonna get CRAAAAZY within the next few weeks!

I wrote up a plan for myself, gotta run it by coach and see what he says:

February 3rd – February 28th

  • 3 ‘Two-A-Days’ per week
    -Running home after work 5 – 7 miles
  • Tan once a week, work on that base color!
  • Cheat MEAL (keyword MEAL) once a week

March 1st – April 26th (Emerald Cup!)

  • 5-6 ‘Two-A-Days’
    -Cardio everyday!
  • NO CHEAT MEAL!
    -No more peanut butter, it’s my DOWNFALL!
    -Less salt
    -Adjust caloric intake and macronutrient ratios
  • Tan once / every other week

Next on the list of things to do is posing, posing, and MORE POSING! This weekend I have a posing practice scheduled with my friend Natalie at David Barton Gym, Sunday at 4pm. Can’t wait, super stoked! I’m sure she’ll have great tips and tricks. She is also gonna measure my BF% because I STILL haven’t done that! I’m really curious to see where I’m at.

Heh, heh, speaking of BF%….. I am holding back on Protein Cookies…. I have a serious problem with them. Protein Cookies and peanut butter. I convince myself that they are ‘healthy’ for me…. until I plug them into myfitnesspal and WHOOOOPS! Over my macros and it’s not even lunch time yet! That’s why I really hope PB2 can help me out with samples or discounts. Next to ZERO fat and hardly any calories! Just great taste and protein 🙂 I’m also going to stop adding my workouts into myfitnesspal, because it tells me I can eat more food than I really should be. Another oooops for me…. Gotta keep that lean body mass for my shoot in 3 weeks!

Bored…. outta… my…. MIND!

I absolutely DETEST sitting at a desk. I’m itching to move, absolutely bored out of my mind, I have exhausted all of my projects. I have been reduced to staring blankly out the Lower Lobby EBC doors, wishing I could be running home already.

Such a beautiful overcast day, perfect running conditions.

3 1/2 more hours….. you got this, Jess!

I’ve had an ongoing headache for the past week. I thought it was because I ran out of coffee at home, but I think the true underlying reason is due to sitting at a desk. I have been skating by the past month setting all of our meeting spaces. I WAAAAAY rather be moving around setting rooms even if it means dealing with the huge ridiculous, dangerous metal cart we use to store support. Sitting so low (so my midget feet can touch the floor) but raising my arms so high to reach the keyboard puts so much strain on my neck and shoulders. Get me outtaaaaa’ here!

On another note, I had a decent Monday morning. I woke up, got outta bed, and went to the gym! I did 3 ZSHRED workouts that involved jump roping, weights, HIIT, and cardio to shock the muscles and keep my body guessing. 3 ZSHRED’s took me about an hour, so I finished off with 20 minutes on the Spin Bike and 15 minutes on the Stairmaster. My hamstrings and glutes are killing me!

BADDOG2I went home to practice posing and get ready for work, today I work the 10am to 6:30pm shift. My dog was so amped to see me when I got home, naturally I was super amped to see her! I was playing with her when I walked through the door when I got a big whiff of delicious peanut butter. What the eff? Why do you smell like peanut butter?! I noticed the cabinet I keep my peanut butter in was open…. and my jar of peanut butter was laying on the living room floor…. clearly busted open. *SERIOUSLY?!* I really don’t want to punish youuuu, whyyyy?! Not something I look forward to on a Monday morning: punching my dog in the face and a wasted jar of peanut butter.

Poor thing. I punished her and threw her in the bathroom on time-out 😩

I was able to fit in a wee bit of posing though, caught one DECENT video and uploaded it to my YouTube. Really gotta figure out how to make better use of my YouTube account, definitely unorganized. This new video was much better than my first, need to work on smiling and trying to keep my ‘hanging arm’ relaxed during my poses. I added a lot more sass, but kept it classy. Lemme know what you think! Feedback much appreciated!

 

This weekend I plan on setting up some time with Natalie to help me out with my posing, as well as FINALLY getting my BF%! I’m surprised I haven’t found this out yet! I measured my waist and hips this weekend and was pretty happy with a 2cm decrease in both areas. Yippee, shedding fat, maintaining muscle, and getting stronger! Very, very happy with the leg results. They are definitely toning up and my butt is slooooowly but surely lifting! Whoop whoop for cardio! I’m so glad I actually ENJOY cardio!

COSTCOPOP2I’ve actually been contemplating what my next race should be. I really want to compete in another Half Marathon this Summer. I would LOVE to do Oktoberfest again, mainly for the brews and dank ass pizza, but I want to try a different course. Seriously can’t wait to eat like an endurance athlete again! I’m gonna stock up on Costco muffins and log miles like a maniac! I miss actually NEEDING to stuff my face with carbs, Mac n’ Cheese, pasta, sandwiches, potato chips, and SALT! Costco shopping will be a whole new level of awesome…..

That’s not for a loooooong while though….

In the mean time, I am finding healthy alternatives for sweet treats that I enjoy! Yesterday during meal prep I decided to make Oatmeal Peanut Butter Protein No Bake Cookies. They turned out DELICIOUS! My very own recipe!

Very yummy recipe! Makes 20 small cookies with 120 calories each, 10 grams of carbs, 7 grams of fat, 6 grams of protein, and 6 grams of sugars. Not bad, definitely satisfies the sweet tooth craving!

Anywho, I better go back to being a good employee. 2 1/2 more hours until I’m outta here! Can’t wait to run home and eat some delicious spicy garlic chicken, cinnamon sweet potatoes, and baked brussel sprouts! Yummmm! Seriously though….. YUM. $3.99 for a big bag of brussel sprouts at Costco?! Hell yeah!

13 Weeks Out – Dumpy Mood Sunday

*Le siiiiiiigh* I’ve been in a dumpy mood today. Definitely rode out last weeks high…. feeling zapped and really beating myself up.

Today I had plans to go to a friend’s baby shower, but my ride fell through so I thought I couldn’t go anymore. My friend (who is the pregnant one the shower is for) offered to come out and give me a ride anyhow. I didn’t want her coming out to chauffeur me to her own event, especially since she is pregnant, and it’s her freakin’ day! ANOTHER friend offered to give me a ride home, but she is the hostess and I still had 5 hours of prep cook to do when I get home and I knew it would be a late event. Soooooo, I didn’t go and now I’m beating myself up thinking I’m a terrible friend, thinking I made the wrong choice and I shoulda’ said, “Fuck it, I don’t need to cook food this week.” I’m beating myself up, been in a fowl mood, and I’m starving….

I really hope she doesn’t hate me, cause I think I hate myself enough for the two of us right now…..

So I’m home alone, cooking my stupid food, moping about cleaning the house and cursing at anything in my path. Boooo, happy Sunday.

On another note, my date with Derek went well yesterday. It was beautiful weather, I took him on the Ferry out to Bainbridge Island to the Bainbridge Island Brewery. Excellent beer! They don’t have a kitchen on site, so they allow outside food AND dogs. We brought Keyda, and surprisingly there was another couple with a Shiba Inu. I brought the game Blokus to play and we ordered a 4 5oz. sampler of beer. I beat Derek at Blokus by 3 points! The key is to play all your largest pieces first. I brought a cooler with lunch meat, cheese, and a large bag with sandwich bread, pesto spread, Sun Chips, and brownie bites.

After we enjoyed a couple brews, our game of Blokus, and ate lunch; we head out to Gazzam Nature Preserve to go to the beach. We hiked down a steep trail to the beach and walked along the coast for a little while. We came across another dog that was extremely friendly and playful with Keyda.  Big beautiful male husky, gorgeous dog. We started walking back to head up the trail since it was going to be dark soon and the husky followed us. We were worried since we didn’t see any owner in sight, so we waited a while and still no one came. The dog’s name was Zeplin. We called all the numbers on his tags and either they were disconnected or re-routed us to a Emergency Shelter in Poulsbo. After much contemplation we took him up the trail with us, brought him to the Poulsbo shelter 30 minutes away, and had him scanned for a microchip. Thankfully he was chipped! Turns out the owner owned a large chunk of that beach front, about 50 acres and let their dogs loose all the time. We met up with the owner, an older lady, at the Clearwater Casino and returned Zeplin. He was such a chill dog! He was smiling the whole time he was in the back of our Prius, didn’t whimper, wasn’t scared or anything! We had a dog buddy for a few hours, I got sort of attached and wanted to keep the guy!

 

We took the 7:10pm Ferry home, picked up the movie ‘Red 2’ at Redbox and went home to make a fire and chillllll. Great day 🙂 Ha, and we killed that container of brownie bites! Didn’t need dinner after that! I woke up in the middle of the night sick to my stomach, my mouth salivating like I was about to dry heave and vomit over the side of the bed. Sugar coma! Ughhhh! Never doing THAT again…. until post comp.. teehee 🙂

 

I had another training session with Derek this weekend. Yesterday before our date he kicked my arse on the TRX. God I hate that thing! I was feeling pretty down on myself, I’ve got some WEAK obliques! I need to work on those, make ’em *POP*! This week I will definitely be incorporating more TRX training for core, as well as drop setting my weight to create ‘fuller’ muscles. Today I weighed in at a shocking 111lbs! I was shocked, but the scale I used was calibrated correctly, so it must be true. That means I lost 4 pounds in a week and a half which is hard to believe considering I’ve been eating more. My activity level has definitely gone up, today marks 10 consecutive days of working out, I’ve also been running home after work a couple days out of the week.

Damn…..

Welp, I better walk my dog before I start prep cooking MORE. *Le siighhh* I’ll try to clear my mind and mentally prepare for the week…. it’s gonna be a doozy at work. Let the insanity ensue! Business is picking back up and won’t be put down until summer…. until next time…..

Small Changes…. Slow & Steady

Awwwww, this week has been so amazing and it’s only Wednesday!

I was offered a new position (that I turned down after much thought), I received a raise, I’ve been working out like a BEAST, my pants, rings, and even underwear are fitting much looser, I weighed in half a pound lighter from last week (114.5lbs) AAaaaanndddd…… I threw my suit on to take some pics and I am finally seeing progress.

This is cause for celebration! Today I made my event Emerald Cup ‘Facebook Official’ and invited a couple of my closest homie’s. I have gotten a couple of responses, it feels amazing to have my friends and families support. Now I wish my competition was next week instead of 14 weeks out. Booooo….

I’ve been adjusting to this diet quite well too. I’m going onto the third week. I’m hoping at the end of 30 days it will be habitual. I get really excited about craisins and peanut butter! Not together of course….. I’ve become addicted to cottage cheese, cinnamon, and craisins….. delicious combination! I haven’t created a name for it yet. Sliced honey crisp apples with peanut butter have also become a favorite.

I’m really looking forward to this weekend’s cheat meal! I’m thinkin’ Mexican again…. Azteca really hit the spot last time. No dessert though! I can have one or the other…. not both. Here are my options for cheat meals below, vote for one or suggest your own! I’m curious to see what the general public would choose!

Tonight I am running home, hopefully gonna make it another 6 mile run like Monday night. Tomorrow I’m hittin’ the gym full force, gonna tackle my booty in the squat rack. Actually seeing some slow and steady results in that area! Yippee! I still have so much time left, I can make all the slow progress I want, as long as progress is being made.

Can’t wait to dig into some yummy dinner tonight! Last night I had to have a ‘mid-week’ meal prep since Derek has been eating my food. Come on man! You don’t have to be on a diet, I do! Make your own damn food! Just kidding…. seriously though.

protein cookiesLast night I made more Turkey Muffins since they are soooo addicting! Even Derek likes them and he hates most anything ‘healthy’ I try to make. I baked and mashed sweet potatoes and steamed more broccoli. I am trying to figure out what I want to make this weekend. I have so many oats and peanut butter I might just make Peanut Butter Oatmeal Protein cookies with coconut oil and Truvia! MMmmm yummm!

2 more days till the weekend! Big plans! Celebrating my raise and weight loss, not sure how yet. Maybe new work pants and night out with the hubby? I have lost 10lbs since starting at the Executive Briefing Center. My size ‘0’ pants used to be SKIN tight, I could hardly fit into them after they came out of the dryer. Now when I wash and dry them and put them on they sag like sweat pants. They use to be ‘high-waisted’ but now they fall down my hips. I’m not complaining! I just hope I don’t lose my wedding ring, it’s been really lose!

I will need to schedule some posing practice in the very near future. I feel like if there’s anything I will struggle with, it will be posing! Next month I will set something up with Natalie, have her show me some tips and tricks!

Thoughts to Chew On – 14 Weeks Out

It’s been a few days since I’ve last written. I’ve been staying on task with training, eating really well and staying on my diet (just a few extra spoonfuls of peanut butter some days), and adding plenty more cardio into my training. I’m seriously loving the outdoor cardio!

I’m relieved next week I will be working my normal 11:00am to 7:30pm shift at work. It’s been so hard getting out of bed in the mornings this past week to work 10:00am to 6:30pm. I would rather wait an hour to leave at the end of my shift after all my work is done, then rush and stress and make it out RIGHT on time. I love buffer time! I’m always about 15 minutes early to work too, it’s my ‘zen time’ to re-collect my thoughts and mentally prepare for the day.

I have been working out after work since it’s so hard waking up in the morning. Friday night I ran home, I even added a couple mile loop into my run so I could complete 5.25 miles in 45 minutes. Felt amazing! My hands were *FREEEEEZING* though! When I got home I did a couple Zuzka videos and murdered my glutes. My glutes were so sore I couldn’t walk like a normal person! It felt really good though to get my plyo’s in after a long run, definitely challenged the muscles.

It definitely helped that I had a rough day as well, people’s comments have been fuel for my workouts for the past few days. Let me elaborate:

First of all, everyone knows that I am doing this competition naturally. No fat burners, no caffeine or stimulants, not even pre-workout! I pride myself on my passion for the health and fitness industry. I have so much respect for my body, I won’t mistreat it under any circumstances; not for a trophy, not for first place, not for anything.

I was confiding in a friend, asking for advice on how to lift my booty. In turn, they asked for my diet, so I told them what I was eating. I thought we were swapping tips. They responded by telling me that my diet is great, but I need to be eating more protein. That was all fine and good! YES! Maybe I DO need to be eating more protein. The conversation didn’t stop there though. They proceeded to tell me that THEIR trainer made the comment (based off of IG photos) that my muscles are ‘being eaten away‘ and I have ‘skinny girl abs’……. what? Your trainer is looking at my IG photos and critiquing me, making the very bold statement that my ‘muscles are being eaten away’?

I’m sure they were coming from a good place, but it really irked me that their trainer would make that comment about me. They both know that my husband is my trainer, training people is his profession. I am his wife, and he would NEVER allow me to starve. After those comments, of course I told Derek. I was beginning to doubt him! I was beginning to doubt myself! I would never starve myself, I would never become ‘unhealthy’ to achieve a perfect physique. That’s so contradictory after-all, that’s everything I’m against.

Anyways, the situation became blown out of proportion, I won’t even go into great detail.

Point is, these comments really DID get into my head and started to alter my thinking about myself. I had a momentary lapse of confidence, and that’s my fault for even letting it bother me. I’ve been using that emotion to fuel my workouts for the past few days, and I’m even more motivated now to get my ass in the gym and work 110% time harder. Yes, I want to win, but I want to win naturally, AND as a reward to myself, I want to maintain my competition body year round to the best of my ability. I don’t want to earn a body that is so far off of my natural shape, I won’t let myself do that. Health and fitness is a full-time and year round job.

This upcoming week and the next 14 weeks I’m going to give it my all.

I’m going to wake up every morning, get my ass out of bed, take it to the gym, and train with intensity. I’m not going to stray off my diet and I’m only going to eat as many spoonfuls of peanut butter as I should. My ‘cheat meals’ will no longer include dessert, unless dessert IS my cheat meal. I haven’t been giving it my all, but I know if I do I’ll be competition ready in no time.

So here’s to the next 14 weeks! 

Today I am going to Costco with the fam-bam to refill our very depleted fridge. I’ll be spending the day meal prepping, working out, and working on my base tan. I created a new ‘Lift List’ yesterday! I’m doing to share it with you, don’t make fun of me for half of the songs:

Day 5 of cutting phase… I’m alive AND I had a pretty intense leg and booty day. I’m proud of myself for staying so strong, stickin’ to my macros and calorie deficit.

Good news, I have a new weekly training outline from the hubby (after he insulted the “extra” under my buttocks, JK! He’s gonna kill me when he reads this) that I start next Monday. It works out with my schedule, hits all the areas I need to focus on, plenty of cardio to shed the fluff, and allows me to continue lifting and building booty. I’m sharing it with you…. feel special 🙂

It’s nice to have some structure, being told what to do, now I HAVE to do it! Everything is falling into place, sent my NPC Card Application, sent my registration for Emerald Cup, have my suit, have my shoes, on the diet, have an intense training schedule that will result maximum results, schedule two-a-days begin March 1st, I have a shoot to get tight for next month…. I feel pretty damn good.

Well, I’m calling it a night 🙂 Can’t wait for my cheat meal on Saturday and meal prep on Sunday. I have so many recipes on my Pinterest that I want to try:

UPSIDE DOWN SPINACH CAKES UPSIDE-DOWN-SPINACH-CAKES-ins

Ingredients:

2 tsp. olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cups chopped frozen spinach, thawed
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. each: sea salt and black pepper
2 cups egg whites
1/2 cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
3/4 cup fat-free ricotta cheese
1/4 cup cream of rice, uncooked

How to Prepare

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Spray a 6-jumbo muffin tin with cooking spray, set aside.
3. In a sauce pan, heat oil over medium heat and add chopped onion, spinach, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook approximately 5 minutes or until onions are lightly browned and tender.
4. While the veggies are cooking put egg whites, yogurt, almond milk, and ricotta cheese into a large mixing bowl. Stir well until ingredients are well blended. Set aside.
5. Once the veggie mixture is browned, add to mixing bowl with the egg white mixture and whisk or stir with spatula until all ingredients are well blended. Then add the cream of rice and whisk again to evenly blend the cream of rice into the mixture.
6. With a large ladle, distribute the spinach cake mixture evenly into the 6 muffin cups.
7. Place in oven and cook for approximately 30 minutes, or until cooked through and lightly browned on top. Let cool for 5-10 minutes. Remove from cups and turn upside down to serve. Enjoy!

Per cake (makes 6): 145 calories, 18 grams protein, 15 grams carbohydrates, 2 grams fat

Happy New Year’s Eve!

*Whewww* I’m pretty damn excited to be wrapping up 2013. So much has happened this year, good AND bad, I’m so ready to get a head start on making 2014 awesome. This past year has been filled with plenty of trials and challenges, life lessons have been learned, and I feel like I have more life experience under my belt to tackle the many challenges that are bound to come my way this upcoming year. I have learned the following:

1) Don’t get ahead of yourself when you get a new job that pays you better. Chances are some crazy shit’s gonna happen that will eat all that extra money up….. be frugal and wise.

2) Don’t rent a duplex from anyone, especially if the Landlord lives above you! Do not sign the lease if it’s a thousand pages long…. chances are the Landlord is an overbearing nut job and living there will give you a headache.

3) Don’t let the vet rip you off….. end of story. They are effin’ SCAM artists! Goodbye savings…. hello bills.

4) Stop drinking so much damn water when you have to sit at a customer facing desk all day at work! One potty break is fine…. but 5?! Seriously?!

5) Stop eating the Beechers Cheddar and Wild Rice Soup in the cafeteria, it will make you sick every time.

6) Avoid the ‘dreadmill’ at all costs. Run outside if you have to, you know how awesome you feel afterwards.

7) Tell your husband you love him everyday, and show him how much you appreciate everything he does. Thank him for cooking dinner for you, working hard at two jobs, going to school full-time, treating you like a princess, and being an awesome Daddy.

8) Count your blessings every day, and be thankful for the lessons learned from hardship.

9) Don’t sweat the small stuff. Take a step back, look at the bigger picture, and breathe. If there’s one thing you can control, it’s your emotions. Don’t give anyone or anything the pleasure of making you feel less or upset. ME2

10) Learn to live in the moment, don’t take shit from anyone, and do what makes you happy.

This year is gonna be full of accomplishments. I can feel it.

Glad to Wrap up the Week

*Le siiiiiiigh* Extremely INSANE week at work…. I had 15 meetings and completed my Power Point for my Winter Training. There was a lot of tension at work, plenty of negativity floating around, definitely put a damper on my mood. It’s been difficult working so hard and only being told everyday the mistakes me and my team mates have made.

I got home from work today I did 3 Zuzka videos though, lifted my spirits! 45 minutes of body weight, high intensity cardio, plyometric workouts. Afterwards I scoured my whole house top to bottom for tomorrow’s Christmas Party. NOW I’m sitting down writing and watching the movie Side Effects.

Yesterday was my cardio and leg day. I can feel my body getting stronger, especially my hamstrings! So exciting! I’ve also been playing around with heavier weights and lighter reps, next week I’ll be incorporating it a lot more so I don’t have to rush my cardio at the end. Tomorrow is my upper body day. I’m doing chest, shoulders, and triceps. Really excited for the New Year to roll around and get to WORK! I’ve been enjoying all the Christmas and party treats at work. I had 4 cookies yesterday, yikes! Every day I’ve had something sugary.

Derek is on his way home from Spokane. He went to Spokane to see Kaienna in her school Christmas concert! He surprised her, she didn’t know he was coming, and he brought her roses. She was so ecstatic to see him and introduced him to all her little friends. Super cute, wish I could have been there. She gets to stay her all day Saturday and all day Sunday. Her mom comes to pick her up on Monday. It will be nice to have her for a little extra time. Sunday we go to Derek’s parents house to open up all her presents.

Today we got a package on our door step from my Dad and his wife Rhonda of Christmas presents, Kai will have so many to open on Sunday! Rhonda is super crafty and made us the coolest Christmas decorations! I’m so stoked about them! They are wooden blocks that she bedazzled that say “Jingle all the way.” They are reversible and say “Gobble till you wobble” on the other side for Thanksgiving. Man, I wish I were crafty! I have them sitting above my fire place right now. jingle

I still need to finish up my Christmas shopping! I have the other half of my gift to get for Derek, a present for my Dad and Rhonda, and a present for Derek’s parents. We did pretty good last weekend, finished most of our shopping. Parents are always the most difficult, I always want to give them something sentimental.

Well, I better go to bed; short post I know, technically it took 2 hours while watching this movie. Not very good, I wouldn’t recommend it. Poor Channing Tatum only says 5 phrases! I wanted him to be more involved! That’s why I watched it! Haha! Anyways, goodnight! Tomorrow I’m working out in the AM and prepping for the party. Hoping we have enough food and everything turns out just right. Till next time…..

This week is FLYING!

Am I the only person who seems to think that this week has flown by so quickly? I can’t believe it’s Thursday! I thought that this week would DRAAAAAG since I had a 5 day weekend last week. I guess it’s just insanely busy at work. Either way, I’m super excited for the weekend. Big plans! Parties and weddings, this is the month to celebrate.

This morning I did a cardio, tricep, chest, and shoulder workout. Great workout, definitely feeling the pump in my upper body. Was a little bored with the lack of elevated heart rate and sweat. Maybe I need to lift heavier? Hmmmm. I feel like if I lift any heavier, I will definitely bulk up, and I’m not trying to compete Figure. I want that sexy, sleek, sender bikini bod! Don’t get me wrong, Figure chicks are hot too, but not what I’m going for. keyda

This is a relatively short post, I just wanted to touch bases with you and give you my workout for tomorrow. Tomorrow is LEG DAAAAAAY! We’re doing core, glutes, hamstrings, and quads. Hell yes! I woke up a lil’ sore from yesterday’s dead lifts, but I dropped the weight A LOT so I could perform well for tomorrow’s leg day. I love me some glutes and hammy workouts! I think hammies are one of my favorite body parts to train, I love the immediate pumped up definition I get! I wish they would stay like that though. Consistent training is KEY!

Butterflies in my Tummy!

Ahhhh I’m feeling SO ecstatic right now!

Guess who bought their competition suit on Cyber Monday Sale?! This bitch did! I’m so excited I can barely contain myself, it’s all I’ve been chattering about at work! I can’t WAIT till it arrives, it’s so beautiful! I bought it custom made off of ‘Ravish Sands’, they have a really awesome Cyber Monday Sale. I bought the ‘Nadia Burst’ suit for $180, originally $250. I saved $70! I know, I know, so many people said, “You paid $180 for a SWIM SUIT?!?!” No, no, no, no…. you guys don’t understand. This isn’t just a SWIM SUIT. This is a bedazzled COMPETITION SUIT that’s gonna make me look SMOKIN’!

I’m not gonna spoil the color just yet, only a handful of people know the color, I want to see how long I can keep it a surprise for. Knowing me, probably not long….

I have my shoes and my suit, all I need to do is get my NPC card, register and practice, practice, PRACTICE walking in heels and posing. I found a posing partner on IG actually! She’s local and will be competing in Bikini in a taller category than me, we’re going to try to meet up once we both have our shoes and practice the shit out of some posing!

Ann Cherry Sports Girdle

I need to start working on my base tan too. I reinstated my Seattle Sun Tan membership and had $60 saved from having it frozen for half the year, PLUS they were having a Black Friday 40% off everything sale when I went in on Wednesday to tan, so I got the best upgraded package for SUPER CHEAP! $200 worth of upgrades for next to nothing, I saved WAY more than I spent…. so freakin’ stoked with the Holiday deals I’m scoring for my comp!

I really want an ‘Ann Cherry’ Sport Girdle too! I posted it on my Facebook as a Christmas present I want…. so we’ll see what my odds are! Hoping to score some new workout clothes for Christmas too, I’ll be spending most of my free time in the gym before you know it.  As if I didn’t spend all my free time there already…… Ha, seriously.

Today I was able to research a little more in depth for NPC Competitions. Click on the following link for NPC Bikini Competition Rules. I am definitely in Category A, measuring at 5 feet and 1/8 inches tall. I could SWEAR I’m taller than 5 feet and 1/8 inches! Hmmmm, I’m having a hard time believing that. I took my other measurements too: neck, chest, bicep, waist, hips, thigh, and calves. I have them on my Bodybuilding.com bodyspace. I’m too lazy to look them up right now.

Not sure what I’ll do with those measurements! To be honest, it’s not all about the numbers, it’s about the overall package, and I have a strong feeling I’m gonna kick ass in 2014!
